Anti-corrosion protection and repair without dismantling

The operating principle of electric arc spraying (EAS) resembles the operation of a high-tech “gun”: two metal wires (electrodes) are continuously fed into the contact zone, where an electric arc is ignited between them. The arc’s temperature instantly melts the metal, and a powerful jet of compressed air picks up the smallest particles of the melt and applies them at high speed to the prepared surface of the part or structure.

This is a cold process relative to the substrate: the base metal does not overheat or deform, and the coating is formed due to mechanical and physical-chemical adhesion.

EAS technology

The versatility of EAS allows solving a wide range of problems using various materials:

  • Anti-corrosion protection:
Creating durable coatings from zinc, aluminum, stainless steel, and their combinations. These layers act as a “sacrificial anode,” protecting the steel even when chipped.

  • Geometry restoration:
“Build-up” of metal on worn areas of shafts, axles or seats.

  • Decorative finish:
Finishing with brass, copper or bronze to give products an aesthetic appearance without galvanic baths.

Why is it beneficial?

Field operation

Our equipment is compact and mobile. We can apply coatings to bridges, tanks, or pipelines directly on-site. No dismantling or downtime required.

Economic efficiency

The process requires no oxygen, acetylene, or expensive gases—only electricity and air. The high spray rate makes it cost-effective to protect large areas (hundreds of square meters)

Отрасли применения

Infrastructure and construction

Bridge structures, transmission line supports, housing and communal services elements (water tanks, gas holders), corrosion protection of road barriers and building metal structures.

Shipbuilding and hydraulic engineering

Ship hulls, hydroturbines, locks, dam gates, and dock components. Aluminum coatings are essential for protection against seawater.

Petroleum and gas engineering and energy

External and internal protection of large diameter pipes. Anti-corrosion treatment of storage tanks for oil and petroleum products. Protection of metal structures of drilling rigs and wind turbine supports.

Chemical industry

Creating the barrier layers on tanks and reactors operating in mildly aggressive environments

Advantages of EAS

Protective properties

Unlike paint, a metallized coating (especially zinc) protects the steel electrochemically. Even if a scratch appears, rust will not grow underneath.

Innovative alloys

The ability to load two different wires into the device (for example, zinc + aluminum) allows to create the coatings with unique properties (pseudoalloys) that cannot be obtained by other methods.

Usability and safety

The equipment is low-maintenance, and the process itself is fire-safe (no flammable gases are involved). Both manual and fully automated operation are available.
